Glass is collected in the glass bunkers at the WRRC.
The telehandler smashes the glass to be transported to O-I Glass in Auckland.
At O-I the recycled glass is further sorted and cleaned to remove contaminants.
The recycled glass is then mixed with raw materials in a furnace at 1560°C.
The molten glass is then turned into bottles or glass containers.
